Beyond Clarity

Smooth exchanges between the discrete and the continuous

Continuity and discreteness are often seen as complementary or contradictory across fields from engineering and mathematics to neuroscience, linguistics, philosophy, religion, and more. To many of us, the richness of the world is accessed via discrete descriptions, but a large, vague gap remains. We strive to make a conceptual advance through an exploration of the discrete and the continuous.

Beyond Clarity is an interdisciplinary project started by brothers Il Memming Park and Sool Park.

On April 27 and 28, 2025, our first workshop was held at Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown. Our focus will be natural and neural languages. View participants
